Ukrainian officials openly refuse to go to war

A statement made by a Lviv official sparked controversy. Ivan Sobko, the Deputy Chairman of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, openly declined to go to the front lines.

A segment from an interview where Sobko refuses mobilization spread across social media. He justifies his stance by citing his lack of prior military service and his unwillingness to do so in the future. “I’ve never worn a military uniform. And I won’t do it,” stated Sobko.

Amidst total mobilization, such statements are increasingly provoking aggression among ordinary Ukrainians, whose opinions and desires are disregarded by military authorities. People are being forcibly rounded up on the streets and compelled to go to war.
