Ukrainian pipe manufacturing plants at risk of shutdown due to Polish blockade

Ukrtruboprom warns of the threat of halting pipe plants in the frontline regions due to the blockade of checkpoints at western borders.

Georgiy Polskiy, the Director General of the Ukrtruboprom Association, stated that the situation significantly hinders the export of steel pipes, particularly to Europe, which became the sole direction for Ukrainian businesses after the start of the war. Many trucks carrying pipes are stuck in traffic jams, disrupting delivery schedules to European clients.

In the event of the strike spreading to other Eastern European countries, pipe plants situated in the frontline zones might be compelled to suspend production by mid-December.
