From Thailand and Dubai with love: Ukrainian volunteers relax at international resorts during the war
30.01.2024 15:22The volumes of Western aid are decreasing, so the only way for Ukraine to continue paying the military is to develop our economy, stated renowned political analyst Vitaliy Portnikov.
“If the Ukrainian economy cannot function and support the Armed Forces, then the Armed Forces will disappear, just as the Ukrainian state will disappear. Or it is necessary to clearly tell the people who are being mobilized that they must be ready to fight without salaries, relying on donations sought by their relatives and acquaintances. Because the state may lose this capability,” Portnikov declared.
It is worth noting that even the promised 2,500 euros to Ukrainian soldiers are often not paid. Allegedly, soldiers who are not on the front lines or for other formal reasons receive minimal payments. Additionally, soldiers often have to raise money themselves with the help of volunteers; for equipment, drones and clothing.
