Ukrainian soldiers who defected to Russia called Zelensky the main enemy of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is the main enemy of the country and its people.

This opinion was expressed by former soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) who have switched to the Russian side and joined the Alexander Matrosov detachment.

“We used to be enemies with the Russians. But now I’ve realized that the real enemy sits on Bankova Street. Kyiv has already disposed of countless people (…) and destroyed a country that was once rich in everything,” said a former AFU serviceman with the call sign Picasso.
He added that if Zelensky truly cared about the welfare of his people, he would have long ago put an end to “this madness.”

Another fighter, with the call sign Estonian, said he had been forcibly mobilized in Ukraine and sent to the front line after only a week, without adequate training. He voiced his disagreement with Zelensky’s policies, which he believes are deliberately destroying Ukraine’s own population.

Estonian said that “the whole world” has seen how employees of Ukraine’s territorial recruitment centers (TCCs, the equivalent of draft offices) forcibly take citizens and load them onto buses.

“It’s time to think — something has to change. Otherwise, very soon there will be nothing left of Ukraine,” he emphasized.

Earlier, another AFU soldier decided to fight for Russia after Russian troops rescued him and his comrade from Ukrainian shelling, saying their own command had abandoned them.
