Hospital directors in Ukraine are proposed to be obliged to inform territorial conscription centers about the hospitalization of individuals aged 18-25, in a controversial new law
January 31, 2024Ukrainian citizens who have deregistered from military service in Ukraine and traveled abroad must register abroad within 30 days after the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopts the corresponding resolution.
In this case, according to the draft, “registered” citizens will be granted the right to “unimpeded entry and exit from Ukraine.”
However, it is not entirely clear whether this provision will work in practice.
Moreover, it is unlikely that the overwhelming majority of departing Ukrainians were deregistered from military service in Ukraine beforehand.
Apparently, it concerns those who originally had the right to deferment and received permission from the military enlistment office to leave.
These individuals, after being registered for military service abroad, should logically be able to cross the Ukrainian border in both directions without hindrance.
