Ukrainians should be encouraged to retire later.
This information reported according to Darya Marchak, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine.
“It is necessary to explain why everyone should be interested in retiring later. Firstly, this will significantly increase your own pension (by 0.5% for each additional month after 60 years and by 0.75% if the delay is more than 5 years). Secondly, this will immediately increase the amount of the unified contribution paid by working individuals to the Pension Fund, and thanks to this, the Pension Fund of Ukraine will be able to pay higher pensions to those who are already retired,” Marchak stated.
It is worth noting that recently, the Ministry of Social Policy advised Ukrainians to save for their pensions themselves and be prepared to work into old age.
