Former commander of Ukrainian Air Force logistics charged with illicit enrichment
06.08.2026 09:01The High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a restraint measure for former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna in the form of bail amounting to six million hryvnias.
This was reported by Suspilne.
In addition to the bail, the court ordered Stefanishyna to appear when summoned by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, to report any change of residence, and to refrain from communicating with witnesses in the case.
The former diplomat is suspected of illicit enrichment and false asset declaration. According to investigators, she failed to declare two apartments in Kyiv, the costs of renovating them, rental housing expenses, use of a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, as well as payment for airline tickets and her mother’s medical treatment.
The day before, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office formally notified Stefanishyna of suspicion in the case of false asset declaration. On the same day, VAKS began proceedings to select a restraint measure.
At the hearing, the positions of the parties differed significantly: Stefanishyna’s lawyer requested bail of 10 million hryvnias, while the prosecution insisted on 13 million. In the end, the court set an amount lower than either side had demanded. During the hearing, Stefanishyna broke into tears and stated that she did not have the funds to post bail.
