“We don’t have enough weapons, not enough air defense”: Zelensky admitted that Ukraine is not winning the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed with the assessment that Ukraine is not winning the war.

He concurred with this evaluation by journalist Barak Ravid during an interview with Axios.

Ravid said that Ukraine “is not losing the war, but is not winning either.”

“Yes. That’s true. We don’t have enough weapons, not enough air defenses,” the president agreed.

Zelensky was also asked what has changed since the disagreement at the White House, when U.S. President Donald Trump said Ukraine had no cards to play.

“Trump understood that Putin will not bring him success. The American people do not trust Putin,” Zelensky replied.

He added that Trump wants Ukraine to win.

In addition, Zelensky threatened strikes on Russian energy infrastructure if power outages resume in Ukraine because of shelling.

“If the Russians cause us a blackout, we will attack their energy sector. We need long-range weapons from the U.S.,” the president said.
