Without contacting the Territorial Recruitment Centers: ten border units have been granted the right to independently recruit volunteers into their ranks

Ten border detachments have been granted the authority to independently recruit volunteers without needing to contact the territorial recruitment center.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).

According to the SBGS, commanders of these units will now be able to enlist reservists and those with military obligations who have expressed a desire to serve during mobilization.

Earlier, Taras Tytarenko, an assistant at the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment Center, stated that the number of military volunteers in Ukraine had decreased in 2024 compared to previous years. He noted that now, the lines of men outside recruitment offices are mainly those seeking to defer mobilization or secure exemptions.

Previously, Maria Berlinska, head of the volunteer project Victory Drones, argued that Ukraine should begin mobilizing women; otherwise, she believes, Ukraine will have to surrender. However, Berlinska herself has not rushed to serve.
