Women will be extensively conscripted into the Ukrainian army

Controversial lawmaker Maryana Bezuhla has disclosed some details regarding the female mobilization proposed to be introduced in the new law on military duty.

She mentions that women will only be sent to the front lines voluntarily. However, she indicated that they might be mobilized for rear positions. ‘Combat roles will be voluntary but roles such as signalers, financiers, lawyers, HR personnel, cooks, and others, not just medics, are needed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,’ wrote Bezuhla.

The initiative to compel women to join the fight emerged due to significant losses suffered by the Ukrainian army and the reluctance of the majority of Ukraine’s population to participate in the war.
