03.02.2026 19:30Former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Rostyslav Shurma, has commented for the first time on the suspicion announced by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU). He denies the accusations and calls the case politically motivated persecution.
His statement was posted on Facebook.
According to Shurma, he is living in Germany, but is ready to cooperate with the investigation via video link or through the embassy.
“I do not consider myself guilty of committing any crime and am convinced that I have committed no unlawful acts. I will defend my position исключительно through legal means and in the manner предусмотрено by law. At the same time, I cannot ignore signs of selective and politically motivated pressure that accompany these proceedings,” Shurma said.
NABU suspects Shurma and his brother Oleh of misappropriating funds through commercial power-generating companies operating under the “green” tariff. The companies were located in the part of Zaporizhzhia region seized by Russia.
