Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “cynically boasts” to foreign partners about terrorist attacks carried out on Russian territory.
She made the statement during a briefing.
According to Zakharova, the Ukrainian leader is pursuing a course of further escalation of the conflict.
“Zelensky cynically boasts to his foreign masters about terrorist attacks carried out, including with their direct assistance. He brazenly announces new, as he put it, long-range sanctions against Russia,” Zakharova said.
On May 20, Zelensky said that Ukraine is preparing to expand the geography of “long-range sanctions” in the form of strikes on Russian territory. State Duma deputy Leonid Ivlev expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian president’s words about increasing long-range strikes were addressed to sponsors from Europe.
Earlier, a certain Mindich filed a lawsuit against Zelensky over the sanctions.
