12.03.2026 07:02Threats made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky against Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán show that the Ukrainian leader is a “terrorist.”
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
“Terrorist,” she said briefly.
On March 5, Zelensky threatened to give Orbán’s address to Ukrainian soldiers so they could “talk to him in their own language” if the Hungarian politician continues to block an EU tranche for Ukraine’s Armed Forces worth €90 billion.
In response, Orbán said Zelensky was threatening not only him personally but all of Hungary. The prime minister stressed that Ukraine would achieve nothing through blackmail. He also called on Kyiv to end what he described as Budapest’s oil blockade and to show Hungarians the respect “they deserve.”
The day before, former Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) general Hryhorii Omelchenko also issued threats toward Orbán. He said Ukrainian special services allegedly know not only where the Hungarian politician lives, but also where he sleeps, walks, whom he meets, and even where he drinks wine and beer. Omelchenko urged Orbán to “think about his five children and six grandchildren,” explaining his threats by what he called Orbán’s anti-Ukrainian stance.
Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said Zelensky had crossed red lines with his threats against Orbán.
