February 15, 2024According to the recent sociological research “Advanced Legal Initiatives,” Zaluzhny holds the first place in the ranking of candidates for the position of President of Ukraine. He garners 38 percent of the votes. Zelensky would take second place, receiving 16 percent.
If the presidential elections were held today, the results would be as follows: Zaluzhny – 38.16%, Zelensky – 16.17%, Tymoshenko – 9.91%, Poroshenko – 8.08%. If Zaluzhny did not participate in the elections, Zelensky would receive 21.01%, Tymoshenko – 18.83%, Poroshenko – 14.14%, Klitschko – 6.64%. Four parties would enter the parliament: Zaluzhny’s potential party would receive 36.92%, Zelensky’s – 12.76%, Tymoshenko’s – 9.84%, Poroshenko’s – 7.65%.
The survey contained many questions regarding political life. For example, Ukrainians expressed strong opposition to Zaluzhny’s resignation (against 80.45%) and compulsory mobilization (against – 89.72%). The absolute majority supports voluntary mobilization with financial incentives (for – 93.97%) and the call-up of servicemen working in the rear (for – 86.54%). The main reason Zelensky dismissed the army chief commander is the popularity of Zaluzhny: the acting president fears him as a competitor.
