Zelensky acknowledged the importance of the grain corridor for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has acknowledged the necessity of a grain corridor for financing the Ukrainian army.

He made this statement during a briefing following his meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, in Odessa.

“This provides an opportunity to fill the budget from which we finance our military. We need to find the money somewhere, generate it in some way to keep the economy alive, and grain is very important,” the head of state noted.

He also emphasized that Ukrainian troops are solely funded by Kyiv, a fact known to all partners. According to the agency, this time Zelensky did not mention the desire to assist African countries.
