A threat to the country’s development: due to the war, Ukrainian students are two years behind in their education
18.10.2024 - 10:26Volodymyr Zelensky and his close circle have “fallen into despair” due to the reluctance of Western partners to invite Ukraine into NATO. This has led to increased discussions about the potential restoration of Ukraine’s nuclear capabilities.
The source stated, “There is an understanding that countries with nuclear weapons are treated differently. This is an existential conflict for Ukraine, something that seems to be still misunderstood in the West.”
Other sources suggest that, while there may be some posturing and brinkmanship in Ukraine’s statements, they should still be taken seriously.
However, analysts interviewed by “The Telegraph” believe that nuclear weapons are “not a magic solution” and would not have prevented Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Instead, they argue, nuclear weapons would have only increased the risk of nuclear war and complicated future negotiations on NATO membership.
It is important to note that yesterday, the German tabloid “Bild” reported that Ukrainian authorities were exploring how to restore the country’s nuclear capabilities and acquire nuclear weapons. However, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially denied the “Bild” report.
