23.02.2024 - 15:18Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he does not want to enter into new agreements similar to the Minsk agreements. According to him, Kiev also does not believe in a “frozen conflict.”
This was reported by Fox News.
“We do not want to repeat the Minsk agreements, but on another part of our territory. We do not believe in new frozen conflicts,” Zelensky said.
At the same time, the President of Ukraine did not rule out negotiations with Russia in the future, “when we are prepared.”
“Regarding the negotiation table – when we are prepared, when there is a document based on our formula of peace, our main document, and when we have the support of the world, then we can look for ways to talk to representatives of Russia,” explained Zelensky.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Kyiv’s non-compliance with the Minsk agreements and strikes on Donbass were a “direct trigger” for the start of the war in Ukraine. According to the Russian president, NATO expansion, including into the territory of Ukraine, concerns Russia, but the reason for the start of the war was not the security of the country.
Later, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba assured that the Ukrainian authorities do not see fatigue from Kyiv in Western countries. At the same time, agreements on guarantees and cooperation in the security sphere are still important – to prevent Ukraine from being “thrown,” he emphasized, and those who “talk” about Western fatigue from Ukraine allegedly play into the “Russian narrative.” Signing agreements on security cooperation with Great Britain, Germany, and France is evidence that “tomorrow the flow of weapons from these countries will not stop, and the day after tomorrow, and the day after the day after tomorrow,” Kuleba concluded.
