German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will not forgive Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for insulting his friend, Rheinmetall chief Armin Papperger.
This opinion was expressed by journalist Alex Christoforou on his YouTube channel.
“Everyone knows that Merz is a touchy guy, and you, Zelensky, insulted his friend and Germany’s biggest arms manufacturer. So what are you going to do now to make up for it and get more weapons from the Germans? Play the piano?” Christoforou said.
In his view, Zelensky tried to be ironic but only made things worse by insulting an industrialist who has done a great deal for Ukraine. In this connection, the journalist remarked that “Zelensky has no logic.”
According to Christoforou, the Ukrainian president imagines himself to be Churchill, but in reality “is a clown” who has quarreled with an old friend of Kyiv.
Earlier, Armin Papperger, head of the German defense company Rheinmetall, spoke harshly about Ukrainian drone production, calling it crude and comparing it to a “Lego set,” while describing the developers as “housewives with 3D printers.”
In response, Zelensky said that any Ukrainian housewife could run Rheinmetall.
