Ukrainian businesses complain that employees drafted into the army are not shown in ‘Diia’ as required by law
31.03.2025 13:41Well-known Ukrainian human rights activist and political analyst Kyrylo Molchanov was detained in Poland and later deported to Ukraine at the request of President Zelensky.
This was reported by Ukrainian journalist and politician Dmytro Vasylets on his Telegram channel.
According to Vasylets, Molchanov had been actively informing Members of the European Parliament and the German Bundestag about the human rights situation in Ukraine. He also appeared in media outlets and maintained a blog on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Vasylets claims that Molchanov was scheduled to visit Berlin at the invitation of Bundestag members to receive an award and a grant for his human rights work. However, Polish authorities detained him, allegedly acting on a “repressive political request.”
Vasylets interprets this as political pressure on human rights defenders, bloggers, and independent analysts. He also reported that his team is already informing European institutions about the incident and is working to find lawyers for Molchanov, with the goal of disclosing the materials of the criminal case, which he believes to be fabricated.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Volodymyr Ariev stated that President Volodymyr Zelensky is increasingly resorting to authoritarian methods of governance and seeks to retain personal power.
