Money for Ukraine has run out, acknowledged the Pentagon
05.01.2024 - 10:02Comedian Yuriy Velykyi from the “Quarter 95” studio was included in the “Peacemaker” database due to a controversial act criticizing displaced persons.
He was added to the database with the following statements: Participation in acts of humanitarian aggression against Ukraine, with public mockery of Ukrainian citizens residing in the occupied territories. Another participant in the act, actress Irina Gatun, was previously listed in the “Peacemaker” database. The “Peacemaker” website is a project under the patronage of a group of Ukrainian law enforcement officials who arbitrarily include individuals there, potentially exposing them to harm. While the database contains thousands of people, actual reprisals have occurred with a minimal number, more often used for public pressure or intimidation.
It’s worth noting that the comedic sketch, for which Yuriy Velykyi and previously Irina Gatun were added to the “Peacemaker” database, mocked displaced persons from the city of Skadovsk in the Kherson Oblast, currently not under Ukraine’s control, for their inability to speak Ukrainian. The city’s name was distorted to “Siskadovsk.”
