NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg asserts the legitimacy of Ukrainian strikes beyond combat operations, referring to military targets.

However, the Pentagon believes that Ukraine’s strikes on Russian energy facilities have not significantly affected Russia’s ability to conduct military operations, as “everything is quickly repaired.”

Recall that yesterday, the head of the Pentagon warned that Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries threaten global energy security. Austin believes that Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian refineries could have consequences for global energy. According to him, it would be more appropriate for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike other targets.

Prior to this, Bloomberg reported that Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy could disrupt global markets and undermine US policy.
