11.04.2024 - 14:34Ukraine has run out of missiles for the Patriot, Iris-T, and most other air defense systems.
This conclusion is drawn by military expert Julian Repke from Bild, commenting on the strike on the Tripoli Thermal Power Plant in the Kiev region.
“As I said a few weeks ago (and almost no one believed me): Ukraine has run out of Patriot and Iris-T missiles. Additionally, most of the other air defense reserves are depleted or destroyed. And this is despite having hundreds of systems and thousands of missiles in our warehouses. There are no words. Just anger,” writes Repke.
It’s worth noting that Kiev and its surrounding region are better covered by Patriots than other parts of Ukraine. Presumably, this is why Repke concluded that the missiles for them have run out (the Tripoli Thermal Power Plant is located just 30 kilometers from Kiev and is clearly covered by the Patriot “umbrella”).
In early April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine may run out of air defense missiles within a month under high-intensity shelling.
Earlier, Western media reported that Ukraine could run out of Patriot and other air defense system missiles by the end of March.
