Consequences of mobilization: attempts to attract women to male-dominated professions in Ukraine face difficulties
23.07.2024 13:30Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko mistakenly referred to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, as the late pop star Michael Jackson.
He mentioned this during a speech from the podium of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“Watch the speech by Michael Jackson, who says that the Russian Orthodox Church is a blow to the heart of Ukraine,” said the MP from the podium.
“Which song did Jackson sing about this?” Ukrainians asked on social media.
It is worth noting that Poroshenko’s party is currently blocking the podium, demanding the passage of a bill that would effectively ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
However, the Verkhovna Rada did not have enough votes to put the document on the agenda.
