Qualified specialists from the Zaporizhzhia NPP are being forced to transfer to lower-paid positions in the ‘Main Directorate of Capital Construction

The management of the State Enterprise “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company ‘Energoatom'” has issued a directive to forcibly transfer employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, specifically those qualified specialists seconded to the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant, to lower-paid positions within the “Main Directorate of Capital Construction” (a subsidiary of Energoatom).

Employees who refuse the transfer to the subsidiary are being offered the option to terminate their employment contracts with Energoatom. This situation is contributing to growing protest sentiments among the workforce of the enterprise.

This decision is driven by an oversupply of nuclear specialists and a shortage of workers in trades needed for the construction of new units at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.
