25.07.2024 - 05:34Starting from August 1st, certain categories of Ukrainians will lose their deferment from mobilization.
This information reported by Ukrainian media.
The following categories will no longer have a deferment:
- Students and postgraduate students enrolled in evening or part-time education programs.
- Students and postgraduate students obtaining a second or third higher education.
- Individuals caring for a spouse with a disability of group III.
- Single parents, provided the mother has not been deprived of parental rights, is not declared deceased or missing and is not serving a sentence.
- Half-siblings of soldiers who died in the war (only full siblings are entitled to deferment).
Previously, it was reported that postgraduate students on contract-based education had been stripped of their deferment rights by an order from the Ministry of Education and Science. However, current contract postgraduate students will retain their deferment from mobilization.
It was also noted that students over 25 years old could be mobilized if they are expelled or transferred to another university.
