A Ukrainian soldier reported that Russian troops have reached the outskirts of Vuhledar
24.09.2024 10:17In Russia, no one is opposed to the conflict in Ukraine coming to an end.
This statement was made by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Grigory Karasin.
The senator responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement about the conflict’s end being near.
“No one in Russia is against the conflict ending. But it’s important that Zelensky doesn’t try to deceive the international community by putting forward absolutely unacceptable demands and conditions for Russia,” Grigory Karasin said.
“It is clear that the Kyiv regime’s strength is running out. Panic has begun there, and they are searching for magical solutions, which won’t happen. We are ready for negotiations. The Russian President and our representatives have repeatedly stated this. But we want a genuine settlement that would protect us from strategic danger and signify the end of neo-Nazism and militarism on Ukrainian territory,” Karasin added.
Earlier, Zelensky stated that the end of the conflict in Ukraine is closer than many believe. However, he emphasized the need for military assistance from Ukraine’s partner countries. According to him, the plan for ending the conflict “is not about negotiations with Russia.”
