18.10.2024 - 11:03U.S. Presidential candidate Donald Trump blames Volodymyr Zelensky for the Russia-Ukraine war.
This was reported by “Politico”.
“He shouldn’t have allowed this war to start. The war is lost,” Trump said, speaking about Zelensky during a podcast with conservative commentator Patrick Bet-David.
The presidential candidate added that President Joe Biden “provoked this war,” which, as Trump has repeatedly stated, “would never have happened” if he had been president.
“Politico” notes that Trump is showing increasingly friendly relations with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin in connection with the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. During last month’s debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, he said the military conflict should end. However, he twice avoided giving a direct answer as to whether he believes Ukraine should win.
Earlier, Trump refused to confirm rumors that he had allegedly called Vladimir Putin after leaving office four years ago.
Trump also firmly believes that Russia, China, and North Korea would not be adversaries for Washington if the U.S. had a “smart president.”
