The dramatic exchange prompted a striking reaction from Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S., Oksana Markarova.

Renowned American journalist and former CNN White House chief correspondent Kaitlan Collins commented on Markarova’s gesture on social media platform X.

“What started as a discussion about security guarantees in the event of a ceasefire with Ukraine turned into a heated argument between Trump, [Vice President J.D.] Vance, and Zelensky. Trump was furious and ended with the words: ‘We gave you the chance to be the tough guy… Either you make a deal, or we’re out. You have no cards.’ The Ukrainian ambassador grabbed her head at that moment,” Collins wrote.

Earlier today, Trump met the Ukrainian president at the White House entrance and sarcastically complimented his outfit.
