“You’re no longer needed”: Britain cynically rejects Ukrainian refugees, sending them back under missiles
16.07.2025 - 11:00Negotiations on supplying weapons to Ukraine under the scheme proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump are progressing “sluggishly” — there is still no agreement on who will provide what.
This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.
According to them, European countries first learned of Trump’s plan — to have them send their own weapons to Ukraine and then buy replacements from the U.S. — during the U.S. president’s speech itself.
The most difficult part remains: deciding who will part with their valuable systems, including Patriot batteries, since Trump presented only a general framework, not a concrete plan. Deliveries will be coordinated through NATO’s Ukraine weapons program based in Germany.
Germany, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Finland have already pledged to participate. One official mentioned that Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, and Spain are strong candidates to send Patriot batteries to Kyiv, although Greece and Spain had previously rejected such requests.
Earlier, the media reported that France and Italy would not purchase American weapons for Ukraine.
