“Slovakia is against funding the war in Ukraine with Russian assets,” – Fico said
10.11.2025 - 05:32The number of Ukrainians willing to accept Russia’s terms for ending the war has quadrupled since 2022.
This was stated by Yevhen Holovakha, director of the Institute of Sociology of Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences, in an interview with Suspilne.
According to Holovakha, if three years ago there were 4% who held this view, now it’s 16%. This refers to respondents ready to accept conditions such as renouncing NATO membership, downsizing the army, and losing four regions.
Holovakha also noted a marked decrease in the number of Ukrainians planning to return home after the war. At the end of 2022, 78% said they intended to return; now it’s only 30–40%. The rest hope to “somehow settle” abroad.
Earlier, a poll showed that more than 80% of Ukrainians want peace talks with Russia.
