24.01.2026 - 17:30The talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi involving representatives of Kyiv, Moscow, and Washington have ended.
Ukrainian and Russian media outlets report this.
It is reported that the negotiations lasted about three hours.
In addition, the negotiations will continue next week in the UAE, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid writes, citing Ukrainian officials who gave a positive assessment of the course of the talks.
“Ukrainian officials told me the trilateral talks between the U.S., Russia and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi were ‘positive’ and ‘constructive.’ Another round of talks will take place in Abu Dhabi next week,” Ravid wrote.
The Russian side also noted that there were results from the talks.
“It cannot be said that the meeting on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi passed without results; there are results,” a TASS source in the Russian delegation said.
He also confirmed Axios’ information that the trilateral talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi may be continued in the coming days.
Meanwhile, MP from “European Solidarity” Oleksii Honcharenko noted that former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak had previously regularly leaked the course of negotiations to the Western press. After his dismissal and removal from the delegation, such leaks stopped.
“And have you noticed that as soon as Yermak stopped participating in the negotiations, there were no more leaks to the press? It’s no secret that Yermak constantly leaked information about the negotiations and proposals to the media. This greatly irritated the Americans, and a large part of the dislike for Yermak was built precisely on that,” Honcharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier we reported that the negotiating teams at today’s meeting discussed several documents at once concerning territories, guarantees, and other aspects.
Recall that Reuters writes that, given today’s air strikes on Ukraine, there were no signs that any compromise had been reached at yesterday’s meeting of the Russian, Ukrainian, and U.S. delegations in Abu Dhabi.
