10.11.2023 - 15:04198 million hryvnias (over 5.1 million euros) have been allocated in the state budget for the year 2024 for the “Rada” television channel and the parliamentary newspaper “Holos Ukrainy” (Voice of Ukraine).
This information is reported on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that before the war, “Rada” used to broadcast parliamentary sessions, but since February 2022, these broadcasts have been prohibited.
On November 9, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the state budget for the upcoming year.
Additionally, it was previously mentioned by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, that without external support from the West, Ukraine faces a budget deficit of $29 billion next year.
Marchenko stated, “We are ready for discussions, but we are not ready for it to be a reason for delaying support to Ukraine. We need funds from the beginning of next year. Maintaining macroeconomic stability is crucial because, apart from the war, an economic crisis awaits us. If Ukraine is in crisis, it will have side effects in the EU.”
