A 35-year-old Ukrainian truck driver died while waiting in line at the Slovak-Ukrainian border.
This was reported by Vice President of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine, Vladimir Balin.
He explained that long-haul truck drivers, queuing from the Polish side, are trying to bypass the blockade through Slovakia and Hungary.
“We have received unofficial information that one of the drivers, aged 35, who was waiting in line on Slovak territory, died today. He was standing 100 km from the border, it is unknown how much longer he had to drive,” Balin said.
Ukrainian Telegram channels are publishing videos from Slovakia and writing that the other drivers in the queue turned on their hazard lights and honked their horns in honor of their deceased colleague.
