Mobilization of women and discharge after 3 years of service: details of the new draft law on mobilization in Ukraine have become known
December 18, 2023‘Ukraine will endure a couple of months without assistance from the West’, – IMF Chief Georgieva said
December 18, 2023On Sunday, December 17, a listening device was found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny.
Ukrainian media reported this citing sources in military circles.
According to the sources, the information retrieval devices were made from unidentified components, which prevents their identification of the installers.
“These devices were discovered today while preparing the room for work,” added the source.
According to several Ukrainian media reports, the listening devices were found not only in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine but also among his staff.
Later in the evening, the Security Service of Ukraine initiated a criminal investigation into the discovery of the listening device in one of the potential locations for the deployment of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny.
This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the security agency, the listening device was not found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine but in one of the premises that could be used for work in the future. The Security Service of Ukraine also added that the discovered device was in a non-operational state and would be sent for examination.
“I don’t know what or who wanted to hear from Zaluzhny because in principle, everyone is aware of the possibility of eavesdropping and information leaks. Therefore, this is always taken into account when communicating verbally. But the fact that we have ‘leaks’ of classified information, say, from headquarters – yes. Military secrets have repeatedly become public,” Maliar wrote in her Telegram channel.
It is worth reminding that recently in Ukraine and in the West, there has been active discussion about the possible dismissal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, allegedly due to his conflict with the Office of the President and Volodymyr Zelensky. However, representatives of the Ukrainian government deny both the existence of a conflict and any plans for Zaluzhny’s resignation.”
