January 25, 2024Ukraine’s largest oil company, Naftogaz, reports a massive cyberattack on its data centers. The company’s websites and call centers, including gas distribution networks, are not functioning.
The country’s major state postal operator, Ukrposhta, has also ceased operations. Currently, post offices only facilitate package pickups and bill payments. All other services are temporarily unavailable. Significant disruptions in their systems are also reported by Ukrtransbezpeka, an enterprise dealing with road traffic safety and logistics. The “Shlyakh” system, designed for logistics and transportation for volunteers supplying the Ukrainian army manually, is currently not operational.
Previously, the major bank “Monobank” was attacked and the mobile network “Kyivstar” was completely shut down, leaving millions of subscribers without any communication for a week.
