A Ukrainian soldier reported that the Russians crossed the canal north of Chasiv Yar

This week, Russian forces managed to cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas Canal near Chasiv Yar, close to the village of Kalynivka (north of the city).

This information was shared by a Ukrainian soldier on the TikTok channel “Chronicles of the Commander.”

According to him, the Russian army is beginning to establish a foothold beyond the canal.

“They are throwing in new soldiers. They are taking it by numbers,” the soldier stated.

Previously, Russian military public channels had written about their forces crossing the canal, but Ukraine has not officially confirmed this.

Earlier, an analyst from the Telegram channel Deep State reported that Russian troops were being redeployed to the Pokrovske direction.

“The redeployment continues, and it’s hard to predict how many more (Russian troops) there will be, as the enemy does not account for losses. The Russians have a large human potential, which is being maximized,” said Ruslan Mikula.

As we previously reported, Deep State wrote that the Russian army had advanced north of Chasiv Yar and near Toretsk. The village of Kalynivka was mentioned as a location where, according to a Ukrainian soldier, Russian forces are now trying to secure their position.
