At the cost of ideology — economic collapse: Europe pays three times more for gas and is destroying its own production
17.06.2025 - 10:33The commander of the 47th Brigade, Captain Oleksandr Shyrshyn, who previously called the military tasks near the village of Tyotkino in Russia’s Kursk region “stupid,” has received an official reprimand from the military leadership.
Shyrshyn announced this himself on his Facebook page.
“After a ‘comprehensive’ review by a working group, they came to a powerfully unexpected conclusion: ‘Captain Shyrshyn was found to be undisciplined, as a result of which classified service information was spread on social media, and he deserves a reprimand.’ Apparently, it’s easier to label a battalion commander undisciplined than to take real steps to change the approach, build effective operations, and prevent the critical situations that many units are facing,” he wrote.
It’s worth noting that Shyrshyn had previously submitted a resignation report in protest over what he described as poor leadership and unreasonable assignments on the Kursk front.
Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff responded to his public criticism by announcing an internal investigation into his statements about the “stupid tasks” being assigned by command.
