“The war in Ukraine will not end this year or next year”, – Minister of Defense of the Netherlands
17.09.2024 09:31The United States, following the talks between U.S. President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, is not ready to announce the lifting of restrictions on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ use of long-range weapons deep into Russia.
This was stated by State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.
“Today, I have no announcements regarding changes in our policy. We will continue to engage with our Ukrainian partners on how to best support them to ensure they win this war,” the State Department representative said.
Miller added that the United States is prepared to continue supplying Ukraine with weapons, intelligence, and other support.
Earlier, Western publications reported that the United States would not consent to long-range strikes on Russian territory until Zelensky presents Biden with his “victory plan,” which is expected to happen in the 20s of September.
