05.06.2024 - 17:45Ukraine has raised the minimum passing score for admission to graduate school to 150.
This was reported by the Ministry of Education on its official website.
The ministry informs that such scores are required for each subject: English and the general competence test. Previously, the passing scores for these subjects were 130 and 100, respectively.
“Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy/Doctor of Arts degree program requires the successful completion of a unified internal exam in 2024, with a score of at least 150 points for each of its components. These changes are related to the current military-political situation in the country. They also take into account the main aspects of the exams needed to confirm a high level of knowledge, competencies, and skills of applicants,” the Ministry of Education of Ukraine reports.
It should be noted that graduate school provides a deferment from mobilization. Currently, admission and study have been significantly complicated to filter out those who seek to avoid military service. The main innovation has been the introduction of a unified entrance exam for those wishing to enter master’s and doctoral programs, consisting of two subjects: academic competence and a foreign language.
