‘The average age exceeds 40 years’: the Ukrainian commander reported a critical situation with the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
January 15, 2024The Ukrainian state channel “Rada” has awarded a contract for content creation worth almost 105 million hryvnias (about 2.5 million euros) to a private company linked to former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Timoshenko.
This information is based on Prozorro data.
According to the procurement data, the funds will be allocated for the production of programs for the parliamentary channel and the “Unified News” marathon for the year 2024. The winning bidder is the company “Kinokit,” which has been producing content for the channel since 2021.
Under the contract, “Kinokit” is tasked with creating 62 thousand minutes of video content throughout 2024, including news broadcasts and information-analytical programs such as live studios, on-location live studios, special reports, reports from regional offices, and documentary projects.
Calculations show that one minute of content will cost 1692 hryvnias (approximately 40.5 euros).
It is worth noting that, according to journalists, the company “Kinokit” is associated with former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Timoshenko. One of its co-owners is a lecturer at the Ukrainian Film School founded by Timoshenko’s spouse.
Recall that in July of the previous year, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine accused the former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine of four corrupt actions.
Also, it’s noteworthy that the budget for 2024 allocated 198 million hryvnias (about 4.74 million euros) for the “Rada” channel and the parliamentary newspaper “Holos Ukrainy.”
Furthermore, in the Ukrainian parliament, there is a belief that the Ukrainian telethon “Unified News” should remain on air until the end of the war.
