August 27, 2024Starting from October 1, 2024, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) will establish a monthly limit of 150,000 hryvnias (approximately 3,250 euros) for person-to-person (P2P, C2C) transfers.
This was announced in a statement on the NBU’s website.
The limit applies only to outgoing transfers from all accounts of an individual client within one bank to accounts of other individuals.
The limit does not apply to the accounts of volunteers who meet the criteria defined by the regulation, nor to individuals whose monthly income from verified sources exceeds the established limit. Additionally, it does not apply to transfers between a client’s own accounts within the same bank or to transfers made by legal entities. Operations using IBAN details are also not restricted, according to the National Bank.
Earlier, it was reported that the National Bank of Ukraine may soon implement further easing of the currency restrictions currently in place due to the war. The NBU aims to calculate the amount of currency that might leave Ukraine if the authorities allow businesses to pay for old pre-war imports.
