Fortifications of the Ukrainian armed forces leave much to be desired

Both cities share similarities: they are positioned near the front and on flat, open terrain. Expert Gadi critiques the inadequacy of protection for many strategically important points along Ukrainian positions. Even behind Avdiivka or in front of Chasove Yar near Bakhmut, the defense falls short. This, coupled with a severe shortage of ammunition and a scarcity of soldiers, forms a perilous combination.

Given the challenging circumstances, Ukrainian units are utilizing social media platforms to collect donations for excavators to aid in construction efforts. However, beyond earthmoving machinery, the prompt delivery of promised ammunition by the EU is crucial — it will enhance their ability to maintain their positions against the Russians, asserts the publication.
