Demand for private homes in Ukraine rises by more than 50% in several regions
30.07.2026 11:34The State Bureau of Investigations, jointly with the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is conducting searches in more than 100 territorial recruitment and social support centers across the majority of Ukraine’s regions.
This was reported by the GBI press service.
According to the agency, the investigative actions are aimed at identifying corruption and abuses within the military commissariat system.
“Law enforcement’s primary focus is on cases of facilitating draft evasion for money, as well as on TCC servicemembers exceeding their official authority — in particular, beatings and torture of military-eligible men,” the GBI publication states.
The agency clarified that this constitutes “comprehensive work to clean up the system,” and assured that it is “not a reaction to one high-profile incident.” The GBI also made a joke: “For many at the TCCs, today truly is Clean Thursday.”
Based on the results of the investigative actions, law enforcement officials expect detentions and notices of suspicion to be issued to persons of interest in various regions of the country.
The day before, the General Staff announced the launch of an audit of troop recruitment for AFU military units. The Ministry of Defense, for its part, intends to tighten the rules governing the use of body cameras by TCC personnel.
