15.07.2024 11:53Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has presented a plan to European Union leaders for ending the war in Ukraine.
This information reported according to his office.
Hungary believes that if Europe wants peace and to have a decisive voice in resolving the war, it should start developing a conflict resolution plan now.
“The Prime Minister wrote to the leaders of the European Council about the negotiations, the experience of the first phase of the peacekeeping mission, and Hungarian proposals. If Europe wants peace and to have a decisive voice in resolving the war and ending the bloodshed, it must now develop and implement a change of direction,” said Balázs Orbán, an advisor to the Hungarian Prime Minister, in an interview with Magyar Nemzet.
Orbán believes that both Kyiv and Moscow are “very determined to fight, and without the intervention of external mediators, we will unfortunately see very brutal destruction in the coming months.”
“Today, we are the only ones who can negotiate with all parties,” Balázs Orbán noted.
The Kremlin confirmed that during his visit, Orbán presented Vladimir Putin with “the main parameters of his vision for resolving the Ukrainian crisis,” but the details were not disclosed.
