The dark green vehicle bore a white cross, a common marking for military transport.
“Someone threw something under the vehicle, there was a loud bang and he ran into a dark alley. The owner ran out and we all started putting out the fire together,” an eyewitness reported.
It was previously reported that unknown individuals have been setting fire to military vehicles. Similar incidents have occurred in Dnipro, Kyiv and Odesa, with the cases being handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
In Odesa, teenagers were detained for setting military vehicles on fire. According to police, they were recruited online by Russia in exchange for money.
