In Poltava region after resonance in social networks suspected two rapists of a 12-year-old boy

After a wave of outrage over the impunity of participants in the rape in the Poltava region of a 12-year-old boy, the police filed suspicion of two people: a 15-year-old teenager and a 22-year-old young man.

“The police of Poltava region reported suspicion of the 15-year-old figure involved in the bullying of a young boy. Persons who in June bullied a minor on the local beach in the village of Kotelva, established. At present, a 15-year-old local boy is reported on suspicion of committing a crime and the question of choosing a measure of restraint is being resolved. On this fact, the investigative unit of Poltava district police department is investigating criminal proceedings opened under the qualifying features of part 4 of article 153 (sexual violence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides from five to ten years of imprisonment”, – said about the younger defendant in the case.

“For abuse of a minor boy, the police of Poltava region reported suspicion of another figure – 22-year-old local resident.
If found guilty by the court, the man faces up to ten years in prison. Police investigators suspect the 22-year-old resident of the village of Kotelva, Poltava district, of committing sexual violence (part 4 of article 153 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and of involving minors and young children in illegal activities (part 2 of article 304 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). At present, the issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the defendant is being decided,” the second publication said.

In addition, an official investigation was appointed for the untimely entry of information into the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. During the investigation, four police officers (the head of the sector of police activity in the village of Kotelva, his deputy and juvenile inspector, as well as the deputy head of the police station in Zenkov, who at the time of the discovery of the crime was acting as head of the sector of police activity in Kotelva) suspended from duty.

We will remind, the other day it became known that after the rape of a 12-year-old boy in Poltava region, two rapists were punished with a fine, and the third was not even searched for. The crime involved two minors and one adult.
