In the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it was stated that in Avdiivka there is not a single intact prepared position left

At the time of the entry of the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into Avdiivka, there was not a single intact prepared position left there.

This was reported by an engineer from the 3rd separate assault brigade, whose words were cited by the Ukrainian military Telegram channel Deep State.

“In general, the situation is very reminiscent of the Bahmut defensive operation when the infantry of the third assault was forced to take defense right from the march. Moreover, as last year, not a single position was prepared, because at the moment of entry, those defense positions that were held by our allies had already been lost or destroyed,” said the engineer.

Deep State considers the redeployment of the assault unit into the operational environment to strengthen defensive actions “extremely strange”.

It notes that this decision was made before the change of the commander, so one should not consider this rotation as Sursky’s idea.

Deep State also writes that due to the appearance of information in the media about the redeployment of the 3rd separate assault brigade to Avdiivka before the official announcement, the number of missile strikes on the rear cities of Donetsk region has increased, where, according to the Russian Federation, the “Troika” could have been located.

Earlier, the 3rd assault brigade confirmed the redeployment to Avdiivka and stated that the Russian Federation had concentrated seven brigades around the city. According to the 3rd separate assault brigade, it has already inflicted a “critical defeat” on two of them.

The day before, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, announced plans to mobilize reserves for the defense of Kupiansk and Avdiivka.
