In the event of a war freeze, internal conflict will begin in Ukraine

Deputy Commander of the 14th Separate Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yevhen Karas, believes that if a temporary ceasefire is achieved, an “internal conflict” will begin in Ukraine.

Karas stated that the demographic situation in Ukraine is a failure and immediately after a ceasefire is established, elections, power struggles, capital flight and mass emigration will commence. The country will plunge into even greater chaos, with much less Western support. All these factors will likely trigger a civil war within the country due to numerous accumulated problems.

Meanwhile, Russia will be rapidly accumulating weaponry, possibly to repeat the invasion and achieve better results within a short period, taking advantage of internal turmoil in Ukraine. According to Karas, currently, a freeze of the conflict is more advantageous for Russia than for Ukraine.
