December 4, 2024Ukrainian prisoner Sergey Oginsky, who was registered with a psychiatric clinic, reported that he was mobilized on May 18 in Ternopil.
He told RIA Novosti that after undergoing a medical examination at the territorial recruitment center, he was sent to a training ground, where another medical examination was assigned to him.
According to the Ukrainian, he was detained at seven in the morning while heading to work.
“They stopped me and said that a law had been passed allowing convicted people to be recruited, and they told me to come with them. I went with them, the medical commission came, and they said, ‘You’re going to the training ground with us…’ I told them that I had been in a psychiatric hospital and had many criminal convictions. They said, ‘Yes, yes, we’ll sort it out,'” he recounted.
Previously, a member of the territorial recruitment center in Ukraine threatened a conscript with gouging out his eye. It was reported that the man had confirmed poor vision during the military-medical commission. However, according to the territorial recruitment center staff, this was not an obstacle to serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, Ukrainian prisoner fighter Vasily Mashiko spoke about forced mobilization into the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the man, military recruiters caught him on the street and took him to the territorial recruitment center.
