In Ukraine, they will intensify the conscription into the army: Chief of the Armed Forces Zaluzhny promises to expand the categories of citizens subject to mobilization

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, has written an article about the problems and needs of the Ukrainian army. One of these issues is the replenishment of manpower.

The material was published in the British magazine “The Economist” under the title “Ukraine’s Chief of the Armed Forces on What He Needs to Defeat Russia.”

Zaluzhny explained that in Ukraine, a unified registry of citizens of conscription age is being introduced.

He mentioned, “There are gaps in our legislation that allow citizens to evade their responsibilities. We are trying to address these issues. We are introducing a unified registry of conscripts and must expand the category of citizens who can be called up for training or mobilization. We are also introducing ‘combat training,’ which involves placing newly mobilized and trained personnel in experienced combat units for their preparation,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Additionally, it has been previously reported that Ukraine is planning to legislatively prohibit teenagers aged 14 and above from leaving the country.

Ukrainian lawyer Aleksandra Karkhotkina made this statement, noting that the Office of the President of Ukraine intends to lobby for amendments to the existing “martial law” law, which will justify the necessity of restricting the travel of teenagers abroad.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that due to significant losses in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the failure of mobilization, the authorities in Ukraine plan to deploy disabled individuals, students, women, and young people to the front lines.
